The story revolves around a retired woman, Thuy Muoi, and her family. She can't wait to meet the wife of her son, Cuong, whom he secretly married while living in the United States. To Thuy Muoi's surprise, her son introduces her to Jackie, a man, thus shaking her dreams and expectations. From there, everyone will have to live under the same roof. But the mother-in-law will not make it easy for him, she will accept that they live together if Jackie fulfills a series of tasks that she marks on her "son-in-law contract".
